Avenue - a Nolato company based in Finisklin Business Park, Sligo is an award-winning mould-building company, and a growing medical device precision injection moulding business that has been successfully serving Ireland and the broader European markets for 30 years. Avenue also brings expertise in building ultra-high-cavitation tooling for the medical device, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical markets.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accountant is responsible for all financial analysis and reporting. Some tasks will include financial statement preparation, budget preparation, forecasting, reconciliation reporting, P & L analysis, monthly/quarterly/annual closing and assisting with implementation of improved policies and procedures for the finance team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation of monthly financial and management accounts to strict deadlines
• Preparation of the Budgets, Financial forecasts, and report variances
• Coordinate the preparation of Regulatory & Statutory reporting
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage and comply with Regulatory, Government, Revenue and CRO filings
• Variance analysis and reporting
• Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) essential
• Previous experience in a similar role in a Manufacturing environment essential
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Accounting software
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to prioritise and manage diverse responsibilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be motivated and self-driven
• Multinational accounting experience desirable
