JOB TITLE:

Molding and Automation Apprentice

DEPARTMENT:

Royalton Operations 

REPORTS TO:

Molding/Production/Operations Manager

 

DESCRIPTION:

The Molding and Automation Apprentice program is an 18-month program designed to expose the employee/apprentice to various departments (Production, Quality, Tooling, Machine Maintenance, and Material Handling) during the first six months and then increase focus in the key processing areas (Mold Setting, Processing, Automation, and Process Engineering) during the next 12 months.

The program, which is largely OJT/hands-on training, is also supplemented by formal technical training systems from Paulson, RJG, and site-specific Machine and Robot vendors. Although other career paths are possible, the Apprentice will likely continue as a Process Technician upon successful completion of the program.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Following the Molder and Automation Apprentice Training Program Master Outline, rotate through the various departments/areas to develop a familiarity and basic proficiency of each area.

  • Complete all required technical training programs, esp. those form Paulson and RJG

  • Follow company safety rules, policies, and procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area

  • Strive to be a contributing and supportive team member

  • Display a cooperative and positive attitude toward your teammates

  • Will be required to sign a Training and Investment Agreement

  • Perform other duties as required or requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • No previous injection molding experience required

  • Strong technical aptitude and interest level

  • High School/GED education required

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work overtime as necessary

  • Ability to lift 55 pounds
