IT Graduate (Networking & Cyber Security)
Fantastic opportunity for a recent Network & Cyber Security IT graduate to join the team in Nolato Sligo.
Nolato Sligo is an award-winning mould-building company, and a growing medical device precision injection moulding business that has been successfully serving Ireland and the broader European markets for over 35 years. Avenue also brings expertise in building ultra-high-c device, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical markets.
We are seeking a motivated IT Graduate to support and enhance our IT infrastructure and services. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a strong foundation in Computer Networks and Cyber Security who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing end-user support, maintaining network systems, ensuring IT security, driving continuous improvements, and will play a key role in supporting and improving our technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to onsite users
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
- Set up and configure desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of local network infrastructure
- Support server environments, backups, and system performance monitoring
- Troubleshoot network issues and ensure high availability of IT services
- Support the implementation and maintenance of IT security policies and procedures
- Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities
- Assist with patch management, antivirus, and endpoint protection
- Promote cybersecurity awareness among staff
- Identify opportunities to improve IT support systems and processes
- Contribute to IT projects and system upgrades
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and support activities
- Work closely with the Head of IT in Sweden to align with global IT standards and initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networks, Cyber Security, or a related IT discipline
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
- Good knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Familiarity with Windows environments and Microsoft 365
- Previous Internship experience in an IT support or infrastructure role
- Exposure to firewalls, switches, and enterprise IT systems
- Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Team player with the ability to work independently when required
- Occasional travel to Sweden or remote collaboration with international teams may be required
