Knitted Wire Mesh Cable Screening products

Our EMI Shielding knitted wire mesh bandage also known as knitted wire mesh cable screening or knitted wire layflat mesh is a tubular form knitted stocking supplied in flat tape form. They are available in four basic wire types – Monel, Aluminium, TCS (Tinned Copper-clad Steel) and Stainless Steel.

Applications

Knitted wire mesh tapes are generally used to wrap cableforms, wiring systems or conduit to provide a high integrity 4-layer screen, which, if adequately grounded, can greatly reduce radiated interference.

The tape is a nominal 0.4mm thick and should be spirally overlapped by 50% to provide full EMI shielding effectiveness. Each end should be soldered or clamped, avoiding twisting into a ‘pigtail’ which could effectively become an antenna.
