Science Based Targets initiative - Net-zero target approved
Nolato has approved near and long-term science-based emissions reduction targets with the Science Based Targets initiative. Our science-based net-zero target is aligned with the 1.5°C pathway in the Paris Agreement. We will prioritize rapid, deep emissions reductions across our value chain and neutralize any residual emissions at net-zero in line with SBTi criteria.
Nolato AB commits to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2045.
Near term goal: Nolato AB also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions covering purchased good and services, capital goods, fuel-and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, business travel, employee commuting and upstream leased assets 25% by 2030 from a 2021 base year. Nolato AB commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 70 % by 2030 from a 2021 base year. Long term goal: Nolato AB commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 90.0% by 2045 from a 2021 base year.
Nolato AB commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 95.0% by 2045 from a 2021 base year.
About the Science Based Targets initiative
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a partnership between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The SBTi enables businesses to set ambitious emissions reductions targets in line with the latest climate science. It is focused on accelerating companies across the world to halve emissions before 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions before 2050.
