Compashield®
Extrusion involves forcing silicone rubber through a shaped die to create a continuous profile. This process is ideal for producing long lengths of gaskets with a constant cross-section. A key advantage of extruded gaskets is the ability to splice the ends together, creating o-rings. This allows for the production of o-rings with a hollow core.
Nolato has extensive experience in silicone extrusion, including splicing techniques to create specialized o-ring solutions. Our material expertise ensures that the extruded gaskets offer excellent sealing performance and long-term reliability. Compashield extruded IP sealings are a cost-effective solution for many applications.
Compashield®
Molding involves shaping silicone rubber in a mold cavity under heat and pressure. This process is suitable for producing gaskets with complex geometries and intricate features.
Nolato's molding capabilities encompass compression molding, injection molding, and liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding. Notably, Compashield molded IP sealings can also be manufactured using overmolding, where silicone is molded over a plastic or metal part to provide both sealing and mechanical support. These advanced molding techniques allow us to produce high-precision, custom-molded gaskets that meet the most demanding requirements. Compashield molded IP sealings are often used in applications requiring complex shapes, tight tolerances, or integrated functionality.
Trishield®
Dispensing involves applying a liquid silicone material directly onto a part using automated dispensing equipment. The material then cures in place to form a gasket.
Nolato's Trishield dispensing technology is a specialized form-in-place (FIP) gasket solution. This technology is particularly well-suited for applications with challenging geometries or tight spaces.
