Maintenance Plumber
Excellent opportunity for Qualified Plumber to join the Facilities team in Nolato Sligo.
Nolato Sligo is an award-winning mould-building company, and a growing medical device precision injection moulding business that has been successfully serving Ireland and the broader European markets for over 35 years. Avenue also brings expertise in building ultra-high-c device, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical markets.
The Maintenance Plumber will provide a comprehensive maintenance service to ensure that all plumbing, water distribution, drainage, compressed air, heating, cooling, and process utility systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Tooling, Process Engineering, Quality, and Health & Safety teams to maintain critical building services and manufacturing utilities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Plumber with a recognised Solas trade qualification and a minimum of 3 years' maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting commercial and industrial plumbing systems, including water services, drainage, pumps, valves, compressed air, and mechanical building services.
- Previous hands-on maintenance experience with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex facility and manufacturing utility issues.
- Experience working within a medical device, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or regulated manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of relevant plumbing regulations, building services standards, and Health & Safety legislation.
- Ability to assess risks and implement safe systems of work before commencing any maintenance activity.
- Good organisational, planning, and time management skills with a proactive and flexible approach to supporting production requirements.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional departments.
- Competent in maintaining maintenance records and using computers is desirable.
