Molding and Automation Apprentice




Molding/Production/Operations Manager



The Molding and Automation Apprentice program is an 18-month program designed to expose the apprentice to various departments (Production, Quality, Tooling, Machine Maintenance, Automation, and Process Engineering) during the first six months and then increase focus in the key processing areas (Material Handling, Mold Setting, and Processing) during the next 12 months.

The program, which is largely OJT/hands-on training, is also supplemented by formal technical training systems from Paulsun and RJG. Although other career paths are possible, the Apprentice will likely continue as a Process Technician at the successful completion of the program.



  • Following the Molder and Automation Apprentice Training Program Master Outline, rotate through the various departments/areas to develop a familiarity and basic proficiency of each area.
  • Complete all required technical training programs, esp. those form Paulsun and RJG.
  • Follow company safety rules, policies, and procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Strive to be a contributing and supportive team member.
  • Display a cooperative and positive attitude toward your teammates.
  • Perform other duties as required or requested.


  • No previous injection molding experience required.

  • Strong technical aptitude and interest level.

  • High School/GED education required.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

  • Ability to lift 55 pounds.
