The Warehouse and Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes to ensure the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of our products. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, optimise workflows, and supports overall supply chain efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Effectively manage and control all goods entering/exiting the warehouse.
- Receive all incoming material on CMS in a timely manner.
- Accurately scan and record all incoming and outgoing material.
- Perform periodic stocktakes of the warehouse and WIP areas.
- Prepare and build pallets for shipping and scan product to BOL’s as required.
- Ensure goods are stored correctly.
- Optimise space in the warehouse and monitor warehouse capacity.
- Control consumables for the Cleanroom and manage minimum stock levels.
- Supervise and mentor the Warehouse Operator.
- Train staff on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and inventory systems.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and supply chain team to align logistics with business needs.
- Prepare and issue all BOL’s (Bill of Lading)/ COC’s (Certificate of Conformity) and shipping paperwork, ensuring to ship against the relevant customer Purchase Order.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to maintain and improve an efficient and cost-effective supply chain.
- Ensure Health and safety standards are met, and safe-working practices are adhered to.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement in the Supply Chain Department.
Experience & Skills:
- Previous Warehouse experience in the medical device industry essential.
- Strong understanding of the manufacture of medical devices and required quality standards.
- Forklift license and Full clean driving license essential.
- Good understanding of Supply Chain Management / Logistics operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and CMS
- Strong Organisation and Communication skills
- Strong team-player who may be required to work flexible shift patterns
- Able to work on own initiative
