In-Process Inspector (Entry Level Manufacturing Operator)

Production Manager



The In-Process Inspector (I.P.I.) will oversee the operation and monitor quality on injection molding machines as well as be responsible for the quality of product before packaging.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and responsibilities:

  • Uses appropriate gages to verify quality of product.

  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify quality of product.

  • Visually inspect product to verify quality and conformance with General Appearance Sample (G.A.S.).

  • Communicate machine and product status to appropriate personnel.

  • Package and handle finished products as required and indicated on QAR.

  • Identify and label product.

  • Perform line cleanings.

  • Learn and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

  • Use SPC to insure product quality.

  • Report safety hazards to appropriate personnel.

  • Perform secondary finishing operations.

  • Participate in Quality Improvement program.

  • Train other employees.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


  • Strong leadership, motivational skills and a willingness to learn.

  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Capability Studies (SPCs).

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Good safety record.

  • Attention to detail a must.

  • Flexibility to work additional hours and weekends when needed.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
