JOB TITLE:

Manufacturing Quality Technician

DEPARTMENT:

San Antonio

REPORTS TO:

Shift Team Leader

DESCRIPTION:

The Manufacturing Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products made at the San Antonio manufacturing facility adheres to the quality standards established by the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report any problems with the machine or mold to the Molding Technician or Supervisor immediately.
• Read and follow instructions on the Q.A.R. (Quality Assurance Requirements) for each assigned job.
• Review the gauging method and Quality Standards with the Lead MQT/Quality Auditor before the job starts up.
• Perform dimensional SPC measurements and log into software per QAR.
• Maintain inspection records.
• Report any Quality related problems to the Molding Technician and Lead MQT/Quality Auditor.
• Separate runners from production, if needed.
• Properly ID all products.
• Perform material handling as required for product.
• Follow and support the Quality System Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Follow company safety rules and policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Molding Technician.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.
• Math aptitude required.
• Computer literate, a plus.
• Gage Training desired.
• Good communication skills.
• SPC training and/or experience in working with SPC preferred.
