Nolato, Sligo is an award-winning mould-building company, and a growing medical device precision injection moulding business that has been successfully serving Ireland and the broader European markets for 35 years. We also brings expertise in building ultra-high-cavitation tooling for the medical device, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical markets.
The Graduate Engineer will work primarily with the NPI & Validation Engineer but will have the opportunity to work between the Operations, Design, Manufacturing and Project Management functions of the business, developing the necessary engineering skills to support a leading Manufacturing operation.
Responsibilities will include:
• Support NPI and Validation Engineer with Validation related activities.
• Assist in the planning, execution and documentation of Validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) for equipment, processes and products on site.
• Prepare and complete Validation Protocols and Reports in support of product & process changes, as well as new product introduction.
• Perform Statistical Analysis as required using Minitab Software.
• Effective communication with management on progress and status of projects.
• Customer focus with the ability to effectively communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop friendly and professional relations with the site workforce and our customers.
• Promote and contribute to a culture where Health & Safety is at the core, ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with our specifications.
• Carry out dimensional inspections as required to support validation of new or changed tooling/parts.
• Assist in the development of inspection fixtures to ensure suitable for use in routine manufacture.
• Provide training to QC inspectors on new or updated inspection methods.
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum Level 7 degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
• Previous hands-on experience with mechanical equipment would be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Pride in the quality and presentation of work
• Proficient IT skills- strong MS Word and Excel skills
• The ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
• A mature and confident manner
• Training and Support will be provided in each area
