REPORTS TO

Inventory Control/Scheduling Manager

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general direction of the Inventory Control/Scheduling Manager, the Material Handler will perform those tasks and activities necessary to set up and maintain an adequate supply of raw material to production equipment.  Responsibilities include the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Makes sure raw material is available at start-up and throughout production job.
• Minimizes waste and ensures lot tractability.
• Examines regrind amount so that scrap material is properly accounted for and reused where permitted.
• Maintains material handling equipment.
• Organizes and reviews inventory control paperwork.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
• Good performance record, work ethic, demonstrated initiative.
• Attention to detail; excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
• General math skills and some computer experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good safety record.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Flexibility and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
